Gary L. Hartz, DMD

Dr. Gary Hartz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bucknell University before attending dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1979.  He continues to pursue additional training and knowledge with a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education each year.  He served for 3 years in the US Naval Dental Corps and in the US Navy Reserve.  Dr. Hartz has practiced in the Reston and Ashburn, Virginia, area since 1982.

Dr. Hartz is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, in which he is a Fellow.  His goal as a dentist is to provide his patients with compassionate, comfortable, high-quality dental treatments.  He has received multiple Top Dentist awards and has been featured as an outstanding dentist in a number of magazines, including the Washingtonian, Virginia Living, Northern Virginia Magazine, the Washington Consumer Checkbook, and Angie’s List.

Dr. Hartz has also served as a president of the Home Owners Association and the Optimist Club, and has coached youth soccer and baseball.

Dr. Hartz and his wife, Nancy, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.  Nancy is a registered dental hygienist in Maryland.  Outside of the office, Dr. Hartz enjoys golf, exercise, and traveling.

Robert G. Hall, DDS

Dr. Robert Hall attended the Marquette University School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1985.  He regularly advances his dental education with 5-10 continuing education courses each year.  Dr. Hall has practiced in Tennessee for 2 years, moving to Reston in 1987.  He has practiced in this area for 30 years.

Dr. Hall is a member of the American Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.  He works hard each day to do his best for each person his meets.  Outside of the office, he enjoys sports and art.  Dr. Hall and his wife, Janet, own the Ravel Dance Studio in Reston.

Kendra E. Novick, DDS

Dr. Kendra Novick attended high school at The Madeira School and graduated from Duke University with her Bachelor of Arts degree.  She attended dental school at Northwestern University, graduating with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1997.  She enjoys attending multiple conferences on cosmetic, implant, pediatric, laser, and restorative dentistry to advance her knowledge and skills as a dental practitioner.  Dr. Novick recently celebrated 20 years working at Virginia Dental Solutions with her father as her mentor.

Dr. Novick is a member of several organizations, including:

  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • American Society for Dental Aesthetics

In 2014, she earned her Fellowship in the American Society for Dental Aesthetics for her work in cosmetic dentistry.  Dr. Novick is currently studying for her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

As a dentist, she strives to help her patients painlessly achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smile while creating lifelong personal relationships in a true family practice.  Dr. Novick enjoys working with children and volunteering to perform dental screenings and judge science fairs in the public schools of Loudoun County.  She regularly speaks at preschools to provide dental health education.  Dr. Novick has been recognized consistently as an outstanding dentist, most recently in Washingtonian Magazine, Washington Consumer Checkbook, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Angie’s List.

Dr. Novick is a lifelong Restonian.  Her husband, Randy, is a 777 pilot for United Airlines.  Their daughter, Avery, is 7 years old and attends Nysmith School.  Outside of the office, Dr. Novick enjoys running, ballet, traveling, watching live music with her husband, and cheering on the Washington Capitals with Avery and her father.

Sumit Sharma, DDS

Dr. Sumit Sharma earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in molecular biology in 1992 before attending the West Virginia University School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, where he graduated in 1997.  In 1998, he completed his general practice residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.  He has practiced in the Reston and Ashburn, Virginia, area since that time.

Dr. Sharma is a member of several professional organizations, including:

  • American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
  • Virginia Dental Association
  • Northern Virginia Dental Society

He has been recognized as a Top Dentist by the Washingtonian Magazine.  As a dentist, Dr. Sharma works to provide patient-centered treatments using the best technologies in a friendly environment.

Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, cycling, and traveling.  He also volunteers at the Free Dental Clinic in Sterling and provides free care to Cornerstone Charities in Reston.

Luis J. Martinez, DDS, Prosthodontist

Dr. Luis Martinez majored in biology at California State University before attending Marquette University for his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, which he received in 1992.  He completed a general practice residency in 1993 at the University of Maryland Medical Systems/Baltimore.  In 1995, Dr. Martinez received his Certificate in Prosthodontics specialty from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland, and in 1996 he completed an Implant Fellowship through that same institution.

Dr. Martinez continues his dental education training and education yearly to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques.  He has practiced in the Reston and Ashburn, Virginia, area for 21 years.

Dr. Martinez is a member of numerous associations, including:

  • Virginia Dental Society

Dr. Martinez’s highest priority as a dentist is to help others.  He is consistently listed in regional publications, such as the Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Virginia Living, as a provider of excellence.

Outside of the office, Dr. Martinez’s hobbies include music, sporting events, wine, and art.  He is an avid traveler.

Bruce Svechota-Kingsbury, DDS

Dr. Bruce Svechota completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2012 from that same institution.  He then completed advanced training through the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Cincinnati.  He continues his dental education and training regularly, completing 30 hours of continuing education courses each year.  He has practiced in the Reston and Ashburn area for 4 years.

Dr. Svechota is married to Nadia.  He enjoys basketball and is an avid golfer.  As a dentist, Dr. Svechota strives to create and maintain positive, constructive relationships with his patients in order to enhance their dental experience and provide them with better care.

Brian Lee, DMD, Endodontist

Dr. Brian Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Brown University before attending dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2000 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.  He completes continuing education courses each year to advance his knowledge and training in dental care.  He also completed a hospital-based general practice residency at the Virtua-West Jersey Health System in Camden, NJ, and served as a clinical faculty member at the West Jersey Health System.

Dr. Lee performed significant research while at the University of Pennsylvania and presented his findings at the annual AAE session in 2004.  He has also received recognition for outstanding Preclinical Teaching and excellence in endodontics, including the Herman Segal Emergency Care Award and the Samuel R. Rossman Scholarship for Excellence in Patient Care, Clinical Skills, Research and Community Service. Dr. Lee was also acknowledged for his contribution in endodontic microsurgery while at The University of Pennsylvania, as well as for his participation in the Liberty Dental Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Lee serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Lee is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.  He has practiced in the Reston and Ashburn area for 13 years.
